Coating, Printing, and Surface Enhancements Scholarship
Purpose: To provide financial assistance to selected students in colleges, universities, and other institutions of higher learning. This assistance is known as the Robert Hagemeyer Scholarship award and shall be in the amount of $1000.
Special requirements:
Majoring in scientific or technical disciplines related to the manufacture and/or graphic arts end use of coated paper and paperboard Be a TAPPI student member or a member of a TAPPI Student Chapter, if available. Be in an undergraduate program and have achieved a class level of Junior or higher. Have demonstrated interest in a career in the pulp & paper, paper coating and graphic arts industry.
Overview
The purpose of the TAPPI Scholarship Program is to recognize academic excellence, increase awareness and participation in TAPPI’s member groups, and to attract talented individuals to the industry segments that TAPPI serves. If you are majoring in scientific or technical disciplines related to the manufacture and/or graphic arts end use of coated paper and paperboard, then TAPPI has many scholarships for which you can qualify. Each scholarship can help to open a window of opportunity for you to achieve your personal, educational and professional goals. Our objective is to support students who have a career interest in the paper industry. Whether it’s working at a mill site, an R&D facility, supporting manufacturing site or a paper or paperboard converting/printing facility.

Deadline: February 22
The deadline for completed scholarship applications to be received at TAPPI for Technical Division Scholarships is February 15 for the academic year beginning the following fall.
What happens next?
To qualify for the scholarship, complete the application on Survey Monkey Apply by February 15. Following the closing date, a designated committee reviews all submissions to select the top candidates that complete the special requirements. When winners are selected, all applicants will be notified. You can check back on your status at any time by logging into Survey Monkey Apply.
